The International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) Chapter in China, a national non-profit branch established in accordance with the regulations of the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association (CIQA). It serves as a bridge to strengthen the communication and cooperation between China, the United States, and other countries on efficient lab design and construction and to promote the sustainable development of Chinese laboratories.

I2SL China Chapter and I2SL Headquarters
in the United States have agreed to
provide a framework of cooperation and
facilitate collaboration among I2SL and
CIQA, on a non-exclusive, non-binding
basis, to encourage projects such as
virtual, international Education Week and
Labs2Zero in both countries.

To create an information platform of lab design, construction and management, the annual China Chapter International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories Conference highlights the critical importance of international collaboration. The conference invites laboratory experts to exchange advanced design, construction and management concepts; discuss ways to improve Chinese lab design and construction; and accelerate the improvement of national research, education, environmental monitoring, medicine and the other experimental environments.​​
