Overview of EMS in the Federal Government

As a result of Presidential Executive Order 13148, the Federal government is implementing Environmental Management Systems (EMS) at literally thousands of facilities. Currently, there are over 230 sites with completed EMSs, 21 of which are certified to ISO 14001. But what have been the other drivers for an EMS besides the Executive Order? What roadblocks have been encountered? What are the xpected benefits?

This presentation will touch on these issues, and comment on the future of EMS in the Federal community.
