Breakfast Session:
Energy Efficiency in Cleanrooms
Thursday, October 20
8-9 a.m.
Achieving energy efficiency in cleanrooms is a major challenge, in large part due to the strict requirements for ventilation and worker health and safety in these specialized facilities. In addition, little information is available to guide cleanroom designers and operators in reducing energy use, particularly in the energy-intensive area of air system efficiency.
Building on last year's successful Cleanrooms
Symposium, this informal session gave you the opportunity to
identify energy-saving strategies for this unique building type.
Facilitated by Peter Rumsey of Rumsey Engineers, Inc., the session
covered:
- Challenges of achieving energy improvements in cleanrooms
- Best practices for improved energy efficiency
- Success stories from the public and private sectors
- Potential roles for Labs21 in assisting your organization
