EnergyTrust of Oregon, Inc.
Margie Harris began work in November 2001 as the first permanent
Energy Trust staff member. Her background in the energy field began
during the 1970s, developing state legislation and programs with
the Oregon Department of Energy and promoting renewable energy with
the Western Solar Utilization Network. As assistant to former Portland
Commissioner Mike Lindberg, Margie was instrumental in establishing
the City of Portland's first energy policies and programs, including
Portland Energy Conservation, Inc. (PECI). Her strategic planning
and organizational development experience stems from working as
a management consultant with businesses, nonprofit organizations
and governmental agencies.
Prior to joining the Energy Trust, Margie served as executive director
of marketing and customer service for TriMet, Portland's regional
transportation district. She graduated from the University of Michigan,
School of Natural Resources, with a bachelor of science degree.
