Margie Harris

Executive Director
EnergyTrust of Oregon, Inc.

Margie Harris began work in November 2001 as the first permanent Energy Trust staff member. Her background in the energy field began during the 1970s, developing state legislation and programs with the Oregon Department of Energy and promoting renewable energy with the Western Solar Utilization Network. As assistant to former Portland Commissioner Mike Lindberg, Margie was instrumental in establishing the City of Portland's first energy policies and programs, including Portland Energy Conservation, Inc. (PECI). Her strategic planning and organizational development experience stems from working as a management consultant with businesses, nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies.
